The Karibu story started in 2014, when founder Emilie Bordat fell for bean bags on a trip to Bali. Back in Quebec, she set out to share that one-of-a-kind comfort and laid-back style with Quebecers.
That made Karibu the first Quebec company to sell bean bags, opening a colourful, one-of-a-kind shop on rue Notre-Dame.
With over 5 models and 10 colours to choose from, our bean bags suit every age and every mood, indoors or out.
Every one of our bean bags is assembled in our Rosemont workshop in Montreal.
Did You Know? French-Quebec entrepreneur Quentin Crouslé, known in the events world as the first to bring reusable cups to Quebec, acquired Karibu in spring 2024 to carry our growth across Canada.
While holding on to what makes us different, we keep growing and we keep believing in bean bags that last.

Choosing a Karibu bean bag means choosing a product built to last. Our internal net system lets you easily replace the polystyrene beads once they start to flatten, extending the life of your bean bag and keeping it out of the landfill.
