Passion for fusion glass

A family owned and crafted business, Duo Verre fusion has been around for over 5 years now and we continue to expand our horizons with new products and techniques.

The art of fusion glass includes size, assembly and firing of sheets of glass of various colors. The glass is cold worked with a variety of tools and each scrap glass can be saved to be used for another project. In melting glass, no loss of material ... even glass powder will be useful! The assembled parts are then placed in an oven equipped with a computer. A programming of several stages defines the times and temperatures chosen for cooking. The type of cooking depends on the size of the project and the desired result. Cooking can reach up to 1490 F. Cooking can last up to 24 hours considering that the cooling of the glass must be done very slowly.
